About Natural Expressions

Hi there, I’m Marie and Natural Expressions is my hobby/business/way of life and creative outlet.

After a busy life running a fashion boutique for a number of years, I found myself in beautiful Northland, New Zealand, with a little bit more time on my hands and a determination to find a sustainable business opportunity - which amazingly has led to being an eco-printer or botanical printer. This has enabled me to not only use some of the leaves and flowers from our wonderful plants on the property (and plant more) but to combine this with my creativity, sewing experience and live a more eco conscious lifestyle.

Botanical Printing is a method of printing onto paper and fabrics simply using the natural tannins and pigments in each leaf and flower. This results in original ‘one off’ prints that are dictated by Mother Nature with a little guidance from myself.
